Craftsmanship and Quality
We manufacture furniture
with passion and understanding.
In adhering to our own high standards, we are committed to reducing the amount of materials, waste and energy used in manufacturing our products. In order to minimise the burden on the environment, we strive to keep the amount of waste we produce to a minimum and focus on the reuse of materials, the exchange of parts, disassembly and recycling.
We also strive to influence our suppliers and monitor the ways in which they too can support a cleaner environment. We never stop looking for clean solutions. By seeking out products that combine performance and are also pollutant-free, we can protect both our employees and the environment.
We inform our employees about our environmental policy and include them in our improvements. We respect people and their environment. Our environmentally friendly way of working is dominated by the ideas that have always guided us: creativity, innovation and quality.
Quality and environmental management ISO 9001 and ISO 4001
All components from our suppliers are certified in accordance with ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 for development, production and sales.
All chipboard and finished panels that we process are of E1 quality as tested and confirmed by the Wilhelm-Klauditz-Institut, part of the independent Frauenhofer-Gesellschaft and in accordance with DIN EN 213 and DIN EN 114322. This term identifies chipboard that has been categorised as being in the emissions class E1. This means that for this material, the permitted limit of 7 mg of formaldehyde per 100 g of untreated wood for living environments has not been exceeded (formaldehyde emissions in accordance with EN 120/92).
ÖEKOTEX Standard 100
Mattresses for our beds are tested according to ÖEKOTEX Standard 100.
Polypropylene, 100% recyclable
The seat shells in the PRO chair series are made from up to 100% polypropylene and are therefore up to 100% recyclable. PRO 4 also has the GS mark for proven safety.
Replacement and exchange parts
Many of our products can be replaced, added to or have components that can be exchanged over time. For us, an environmentally friendly product process means reusing components and product parts. Flötotto children’s furniture thus grows with the child as they get older.
With the PRO chair series, for example, the armrests can be retrofitted, and the doors and coloured side surfaces on the Profilsystem[W+W1] can be easily removed by customers themselves using hand tools. Design is constantly changing and our products accompany this process.
At Flötotto we strive to continuously improve our environment and health protection management system in terms of the environmental quality of our products, processes and services. We want to make the steps we take to protect the environment transparent to our customers and we want to make our behaviour and our products sustainable.
